Up for auction is Blue Note 4195, Herbie Hancock's Maiden Voyage recorded in 1965 and featuring Hancock with Freddie Hubbard, George Coleman, Ron Carter, and Anthony Williams. Record bears the "ear" or "P" etched into both sides of the dead wax, as well as "Van Gelder," and the address on the record is "Blue Note Records Inc - New York USA."
Sleeve: EX, with discoloration on the bottom of the back cover and up part of the spine (this can be seen in the pictures), there is writing in blue ink of track timings on the back, as well as a "review copy" stamp. Otherwise, the cover is in perfect shape: no dog-earing, no ringwear, no scratches, the spine is perfect.
This LP comes with the original Blue Note inner sleeve.
Record: side 1 - NM with a few extremely minor/superficial scuffs; side 2 - NM with even fewer minor scuffs, likely only from having been pulled out of the sleeve.
I am a university professor of music here in the US who inherited this and other records from a collector a few years back. I am looking to sell off some of these records to collectors/audiophiles who can get more enjoyment out of them than I can.
