Close to MINT condition test pressing of Minor Threat's 2nd 7" EP, “In My Eyes” released in December 1981. Dischord No. 5 / Limp Records No. 41. According to only 12 pressed.
Ian MacKaye gave me this test pressing before the release of this record while I was interviewing him for a college report I was doing on DC Hardcore. He offered to beat up the professor if I didn't get an A. I think he was kidding, but when I got a B I didn't tell Ian, just in case!
This Minor Threat record has 4 songs: "In My Eyes", "Out of Step (with the world)", "Guilty of Being White", and "Steppin' Stone". Recorded by Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios in Arlington, Virginia (on 4-track tapedeck, in the basement of his house). Produced by Minor Threat. Mixed by Minor Threat and Don.

Jeff Nelson drums I worked at the famous Yesterday and Today Records in Rockville MD in the early eighties. Y&T was the epicenter of the birth of DC HarDCore, as owner Skip Groff produced the earliest releases. I bought every release as soon as they came out and stored them in plastic sleeves, so they're in great shape! I'll be selling more Dischord original releases soon.
